(1) A person operating a bicycle or a moped on a roadway at less than the normal speed of traffic at the time and place and under the conditions then existing shall ride in the right-most lane then practicable for safe travel or in the left-most lane on a roadway designed for one-way traffic except while preparing to make a left turn as provided by 41-6a-801(2); or overtaking slower vehicles proceeding in the same direction. The operator shall have exclusive use of the full lane; unless the lane is wide enough to safely and practicably allow all other traffic present in the lane to overtake the bicycle within the lane at the normal speed of traffic at the time and place and under the conditions then existing, to allow safe sharing or safe travel, the lane is defined as:
(a) The vehicle sharing the lane is able to remain completely inside the lane, and
(b) There is at least three feet between the edge of the bicycle or moped including rider(s) and any part of the vehicle, and
(c) There is at least three feet between the edge of the bicycle or moped including rider(s) and parked cars.

(3) (a) A person riding a bicycle or moped on a roadway may not ride more than two abreast with another person except on paths or parts of roadways set aside for the exclusive use of bicycles.
(b) If allowed under Subsection (3)(a), a person riding two abreast with another person may not impede the normal and reasonable movement of traffic and shall ride within a single lane unless the lane is to narrow to safely share as provided by (1).
(4) If a usable path for bicycles has been provided adjacent to a roadway, a bicycle rider may be directed by a traffic-control device to use the path and not the roadway.
(4) A person shall not operate, stop, park or leave standing a vehicle in a path or lane designated as a bicycle path or lane by a state or local authority except in the case of emergency or for crossing the path or lane to gain access to and within 100 feet of a public or private road or driveway.
(5). Subsection (4) does not prohibit the use of the path or lane by the appropriate local authority or for the active loading and unloading of passengers by a transit authority.
